[INFO] new Cwali-game: *Subulata*
Verfasst: 24. August 2003, 23:40
:-) *Subulata* is ready today, finally !!! :-)
--- Number of players: 2.
--- A player leads a group of Subulatas (grasshoppers).
--- Playtime: ca. 30 minutes.
--- Age: 8-108.
--- Languages: English, German, French, Dutch.
- Author: Corné van Moorsel (hé, that's me)
- Artwork: Frank Czarnetzki
---------- Story of *Subulata* :
Subulatas are grasshoppers which swim too. For Subulatas 'the water is always more blue at the other side of the pond'. Therefore you try to reach the opposite corner. Your opponent moves in the other direction, towards your corner.
Your Subulatas can climb on lily-flowers and -leaves on the water to jump and move faster. Be aware for the attacks by your opponent's Subulatas, or try to capture them!
---------- Object of *Subulata*:
Make that your most worthfull Subulatas reach the opposite corner.
(The points on the backsides of your Subulatas you hold secret for your opponent until the end ...)
---------- What type of game is *Subulata*???:
The game has very short and easy rules. It's easy to learn, but not easy to win. I can write long here, but I should not tell so much. Play *Subulata* self. Situations can change much during a match! The random order of flowers and leaves on the water (randomly build by 9 tiles) makes that every match starts and progresses different.
---------- Learn the *Subulata*-rules:
See the explaination and picture of *Subulata* at http://www.cwali.com/subulata/subulata.htm
---------- First event where you can play *Subulata*:
Ducosim-convention Jaarbeurs Utrecht (NL), 6 sept. 2003.
In the previous Cwali-2-player-game (same box-size) *StreetSoccer* many players may thought in first instance that it has very much luck, but may think different now. How much luck *Subulata* has ??? That's a special issue again ..........
(I still lead in the StreetSoccer-online-ranking at www.littlegolem.net .)
