Are there anyone here who has already gone through fentanyl withdrawal or helped loved ones? I wonder how to actually go through detoxification: what is the most painful part, how long does the withdrawal period last, and is it possible to survive it without a hospital stay?

Tell me honestly — is fentanyl really so addictive? I've read different things, but I can't imagine how the body reacts when you stop using it. If anyone has dealt with this — share what's the most shocking thing about withdrawal?

I had to delve deeper into the topic, and this article on the website https://unitedrecoveryproject.com/rehab ... ithdrawal/ became a real source of knowledge. The phases of fentanyl withdrawal are described in great detail - from the first 12 hours to several weeks. It was striking how much both the body and the psyche suffer: insomnia, severe muscle pain, panic attacks, irritability. The article emphasizes that an independent attempt to quit can even be dangerous. Professional help, medication support, careful observation are not luxuries, but a necessity, especially when it comes to such a strong opioid as fentanyl. I highly recommend reading it to be prepared.
