What’s the best way to build a front walkway?

I’m planning some front yard upgrades this fall and want to replace my current concrete path with something more decorative. I’ve seen people use bricks, flagstone, or pavers. I want something durable that also adds curb appeal. Which option works best in terms of longevity and cost?

We swapped our concrete for natural stone a few years ago and the difference it made in curb appeal was massive. Totally worth it.

When we redid our front walkway, we chose interlocking pavers because they offered the best mix of strength and visual appeal. https://oakshs.ca/walkway-interlocking/ did the work and really helped us choose a pattern that complemented the look of our house. The best part is, interlock is easy to repair if needed and it holds up well in Canadian winters without cracking like poured concrete sometimes does. It's also more flexible design-wise—you can do curves, borders, or even mix colours. The transformation was instant and our neighbours noticed right away.
