Das ergibt natürlich sinn: Hasbro hat vorgemacht, wie ein solcher Deal aussehen könnte, insbesondere was (Kinder-)Serien betrifft. Aber da Hasbro Universal Pictures ziemlich erfolgreich in die Beinahe-Pleite getrieben hat (Hier mein Prä-Battleships-Artikel), dürfte sich die Anzahl der potentiellen Abnehmer in der Filmbranche in überschaubaren Grenzen halten.

Asmodee UK have purchased fellow UK games distributor Coiledspring Games. The change in ownership, which is effective immediately, sees Coiledspring join the Asmodee Group of games companies across the world.

Founded in 2004, with just one game and one puzzle, Coiledspring have gone on to become a leading name in UK games distribution, carrying a wide range of products also including jigsaws, puzzles and soft toys.
Following the acquisition, Coiledspring will continue to operate as a separate entity, run at arm’s length from Asmodee UK’s current operations.

Asmodee UK’s Managing Director, Steve Buckmaster, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Coiledspring Games to the Asmodee Group. We’ve always thought very highly of the team and the work they do, so it’s great to have them on board with us.”

Coiledspring’s Roger Martin commented: “We’re very excited to be joining the Asmodee Group and I am sure this will bring with it some big opportunities for Coiledspring Games. Being part of Asmodee presents us with a fantastic platform for future business.”
