Ich habe noch eine Antwort von Roberto di Meglio auf die Fragen zur Ringkrieg-Erweiterung von Volker Scheinert eingeholt (Beitrag Nr. 136387)

Antwort in Kürze: Volker hat die Sachlage richtig analysiert (wie Holger schon richtig gesagt hat).

Hier die Fragen und Antworten auf Englisch:

1.The Ents only attack armies, so Saruman cannot be attacked by Ents, if he is alone in Orthanc. Is this right?
Yes.

2. Ents cannot attack the protection value of a stronghold directly. The protection value of a stronhold is only affected, if an army is attacked, which is protected by the stronghold. Is this right?
Yes. The razing of Orthanc is portraied by the end of Fate track

3.The only way to eliminate Saruman is to destroy the army he is attached to. So if he's alone, he cannot be destroyed (by the Ents). Is this right?
yes

4. Ents can coexist with Saruman in Orthanc (if he's alone), without eliminating Saruman or occupying Orthanc (thus causing the Shadow player to lose the game). Is this right?
Yes. This is "Saruman imprisoned", in a way.

If all the above is correct, the best way to protect Saruman against Ents would be to leave him alone in Orthanc, since Ents cannot attack him directly, and since the Ents cannot attack the stonghold without a Shadow army being there. Is this correct?
In a sense, yes. Of course any spare Rohan warrior should then try to move into Orthanc and win the game.
Ents alone can't win the game for the FP.


Wenn gewünscht, übersetze ich die obigen Punkte auch noch. Aber wenn man zu Volkers Frage zurückgeht, hat man die gesamte Sachlage ja auf Deutsch.

(Ich stehe gerade auf dem Schlauch: Wie funktioniert es noch einmal, andere Threads mit einem Beitrag zu verlinken. Ich wusste es mal, hab's aber vergessen. Wenn's mir jemand kurz erklären könnte, würde ich Volkers Origionalthread mit diesem hier verlinken.)
