Es ist keine Maschine bei Scheer ausgefallen, es fehlt das Material für die Spielbretter und die Stanze für die Counter, dies schreibt der Designer des Spiels auf BGG:
Hi guys, thank you for your support. In fact the manufacturer (Scheer) failed to meet its side of the agreement. I am really sad about this issue. I thought I’d make my first trip to Essen with great happiness, thinking this could be a really special trip. The release of my first game. But well, this is also a risk in this business, and I thought that this sort of blunder could only happen in Portugal.
The publisher (What's your game) had a response from Scheer last week that everything would be delivered at the Essen booth on Wednesday. This morning they sent an email telling they didn't have the raw materials to manufacture the board and didn't get any die-cut tool. All other components are ready to go, even the box. They also 'regret this issue and are sorry about the inconveniences that will cause'.
Their lack of professionalism gave me a great disappointment and frustration, but the worst things are the damage inflicted to the publisher that invested a lot of their time and money in the game and the fair, and you guys, that wanted and pre-ordered the game.
I will miss seeing the rising number of plays that usually happen after each fair, reading the comments about it, the discussions about strategy, and doubts that may appear. But at the end of all of this, it will be delayed just for a month or so.
Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do right now, other than to keep talking about it,to continue with my geeklist and such, and hope that the game won't be forgotten by you when it is ready for the stores, trusting that you still want it.
Scheer plans to receive everything they need at beginning of November, and I believe the game can still make it to the stores that month.
At Essen, if you want, you will see the game in play, and it's possible to play some copies in a production version. The box, and all the wood components will be final, the cardboard pieces also final but probably hand-cut, and the board will be unmounted.
At this time, the publisher is in Germany taking care of all details, and I'm sure tomorrow he will confirm what I'm writing here. I also believe that he will manage to do something about preorders. In all this chaos, the only good news is that Z-man will be taking care about the North American, Australian, an New Zealand distribution of the game. After all, it’s not all bad news.
Thank you again
See you at Essen, maybe we can play a match of Vinhos together.
Vital
Traurig aber wahr !
