Frankfurt - Gameshop

Beitragvon A Pappas » 14. Oktober 2003, 20:39

I am looking for the best boardgame shops in Frankfurt since I am visiting the city next month. Could anyone help me? Which are the best places price-wise and variety-wise? Please forgive my ignorace of German.

Forget Frankfurt.
The shops are both much too expansive and have only bad stuff. You can find the next good gameshop in Wiesbaden.

Good luck.

Try the Gamestore in the Zeilgalerie at Hauptwache.

...where you will find expensive games and the worst consultation ever... Avoid this shop! :-/

Sorry, but I've made really bad experiences in the Gamestore!!!

I like the Ulisses Spiel & Medien. They are competent and fair. And have nice games and other stuff.

Dear A Pappas,

so far I haven't been to Frankfurt, but here are some tipps from this Website (the link is called "Einkaufsquellen" (= Shopping locations)):

Spectaculum
Stoltzestrasse 11
60311 Frankfurt, Tel.: 069-294213, Fax: 069-21995969, [Mail:virus@spectaculum-frankfurt.de], [Internet:www.spectaculum-frankfurt.de]

Spiele und Freizeit Behle (Vedes)
Große Friedberger Str. 7 -11,
60313 Frankfurt am Main
Tel.: 069-9200850

In general, the department stores like Karstadt or Kaufhof also stock games. Of course, there you can't find games from small publishers, but if you are looking for games e.g. by Kosmos, Amigo or Ravensburger/alea, you have a good chance to find them there. Sometimes, these shops also have a few titles for reduced prices.

Further, you may want to have a look, if there is a "Toys are us" nearby, since the stock Queen games for a very good price.

Greetings,

Dani

There's a Toys R Us in Offenbach, near the S-Bahn-station Marktplatz.
