I must say I am a little bit perplexed. Wasn't this game kickstarted via Spiele-Schmiede? Why aren't the rules professionally proof-read?

It is professionally proofread (whatever you mean). But it can always be better.
I received a corrections-list last night after placing this message here and elsewhere, and the translator wrote those are almost all right, and added some more self too this morning. (Uh, for if you worry about professionalism: After seeing it in a new layout, you will always see new errors you made.) (And I see a few small layout-improvements to make.)
I think we are covered well now for all kinds of language issues.
Maybe there are still some important errors (I don't mean the language) we overlooked or issues where you can misunderstand the rules. Such catches are still welcome.
In 15 years I think I never had a rule mistake in a rulebook. But sometimes there was a good last-minute catch. ;)
