Cartagena - Jamaica oder Tortuga?

Hallo,
bis jetzt haben wir immer die Jamaica-Version von Cartagena gespielt, bei der man die Karten verdeckt hält und zieht.
Was für Erfahrungen habt Ihr mit den verschiedenen Versionen gemacht, auch in Abhängigkeit von der Spielerzahl?
As Leo Colovini already posted in this forum on several occasions (which I highly appreciate), here is the posting in English, too: Up to now, we only played the Jamaica version of Cartagena, with all cards drawn and held covered.
What experiences did you make with the different versions, also with different numbers of players?

Dear Kathrin, many thanks for your English translation. Trying to understand something from the German text is very difficult for me.
About you question, Cartagena could be played in very different ways. If you play a Jamaica game in 5, it seems like a party game, a lot of fun, but no strategy. If you play a 2-player Tortuga game, it seems like a chess match and it is absolute strategic. So it's matter of taste and of the situation of the moment. If you are in family, with children or people that doesn't like too much to play games (as the 99,99% of the Italians!), play the jamaica version. If you are with your favourit "mitspieler", play the deeper Tortuga version.

Hi Kathrin,
wir spielen Carthagena desöftreen zu zweit und während ich die Tortuga-Variante, wie Du, bevorzuge, also lieber strategisch spiele, schwört meine Freundin eher auf die Jamaica-Variante. Die Tottuga-Variante brungt mehr Tiege ins Spiel und lässt eigene Strategien zu, was auch, oder vielleicht gerade zu zweit sehr gut klappt, da hier andere MItspieler die Strategien nicht beeinflussen können. Es dauert dann auch etwas länger.
Insgesamt halte ich mich an das, was Leo Colovini sagt, zu mehreren (und das kann ich bestätigen) macht die Glücksvariante Spass, zu Zweit die Tortuga-Version. Gut sind aber beide.
