Hallo,
weiß jemand, was bei Titicaca passiert, wenn weniger Spieler an der Vergabe der Felder beteiligt sind, als Felder an einem See liegen? Bleiben die übrigen Felder bis zum Endphase des Spiels leer? Alternativ könnten sie in der Reihenfolge der Waffen weiterverteilt werden, bis alle Felder besetzt sind. Passiert vor allem beim Spiel zu zweit.

... kann mich an eine einführungsrunde auf der messe erinnern. da hieß es, dass am ende noch leere felder ersteigert (mit waffen) werden. allerdings ist mir dabei nicht klar, ob dabei zuerst ein leeres feld gewählt wird und dann wird dafür geboten oder ob zuerst geboten wird und der/die meistbietende wählt dann ein feld.
leider - aus der antwort ist noch eine frage entstanden.

Freie Felder bleiben zunächst frei.
Das Spiel endet, wenn nach einer Spielrunde keine freien Felder mehr vorhanden
sind. Sollten nach See 15 noch freie Felder vorhanden sein, wird so lange
weitergespielt, bis alle Felder belegt sind oder kein Spieler mehr Waffen in
seinem Bestand hat. In diesen zusätzlichen Spielrunden kann der jeweilige
Spieler am Zug jedes beliebige noch freie Feld auswählen.
Was ansonsten noch auftreten kann, ist, dass kein Spieler mehr bieten will,
wenn zB das verbleibene Feld absehbar nur einen Siegpunkt bringt. (Tritt aber
nicht so oft auf, da öfters noch, zB. durch Verbindungen von Ländern oder
Häuserketten, mehr als dieser eine Punkt drin sind. Sollte so ein Fall aber
doch auftreten, sollte das Spielende definiert werden als: "bis alle Felder belegt sind oder kein Spieler mehr Waffen bieten will oder kann."

Because you can make sure to get at least 2 points with a new
settlement when you have the last turn in the game (one point
for 1 more house at the end and 1 point for a 1-field-country in
case of a field without adjacent lakes (when you can't add your
new field to an other country for more points)). And you can
get those 2 points by choosing only 1 weaponpoint if no other
player wants to bid anymore.
When you follow this strategy at the end you run the risc that
other players do get a turn later than your turn (because you
don't know if other players will choose any more weapons to
occupy fields). In extremely extreme situations the value of
your new field which you got near the end of the game can be
reduced to 1 point (only the point for your extra house at the
end) by other players in following turns. At least 2 more turns
by other players are nescecary for that reduction and you
must have chosen an inferior place for your settlement self.
Conclusion:
By choosing at least one weapon point you can put yourself
in a position that brings you at least 2 points at the end.
So that brings 2 points and costs 1 point (because your
weapons in stock are points at the end too).
When others make your position worth less in next turns
it is still worth 1 point and did cost 1 point.
So the strategy of choosing 1 weaponpoint is always
superior to choosing 0 weaponpoints at the end of the
game.
(And normally a number of weaponpoints higher then 1 is

correctly as I guess, and then this...

Warum bekommt man 2 Punkte für ein 1-Feld-Land ohne angrenzenden See? 1 Punkt für das neue Haus ist klar, aber bei Mehrheit im Land bekommt man doch nur die Anzahl der angrenzenden Seen als Punkte. Wenn kein See da ist, bekommt man also keinen Punkt für die Mehrheit. Oder gibt es noch eine andere Regel?
Why do you get 2 points for a 1-field-country without adjacent Lake? 1 point for the house is ok, but for the majority you get the number of the of lake hexes surronding your land, so this makes zero points for that, altogether only 1 point. Or is there some other rule?

bisher habe ich Titicaca leider nur einmal spielen können, aber wenn ich mich recht entsinne gab es am Ende nochmal Punkte für die Anzahl der Waffen, die ich produzieren würde (also 1 pro Haus und 3 für jedes Haus in der längsten Kette). Daher bringt jedes gesetzte Haus auf jeden Fall 1 Punkt am Ende.

I could play Titicaca only once, but I remember that at the end you get points equal to the number of weapons you WOULD produce this turn. So each house is worth at least 1 point at the end of the game.

It is very early to discuss these aspects, this requires repeated playing. But I think chains of houses can be very mighty, since they bring a lot of weapons and victory points. And a large amount of weapons makes it easier to pursue own goals in the game. Nevertheless, as you have this betting system in the game, there's always room for surprises during the game, so that I don't think you can definitely count on that. Yet letting a player get a large chain of houses very early can bring him in a superior position for winning - but that's the other player's (a beginner's) fault then. Apart from that, at least I have to play Titicaca a lot more to learn, which situations cause which effects. For a beginner, it is quite hard to decide what a favourable move, especially when connecting regions, is and how much weapons to bet, so this takes some calculation and repeated playing.
