Here comes the whole story of the "successors of OFuA" sticker, for those who care :
1) The game was really intended in the beginning as a follow-up to Citadels, and I think it is in a way, because of the theme, the importance of the character cards, and the fact thay they are both mainly bluffing game. OFuA looks like a strategy game, it is a bluffing game. Dragonstones looks like a bidding game, it is a bidding game. Dragonstones' witch is even a direct replica of Citadels' Assassin. So, it's true that Drachenfaust is a follow up of OFuA, though it's not a rotating characters game.
2) I told the story on my web site (http://faidutti.free.fr/jeux/dragonstones/dragonstoneshist.html)
3) When Days of Wonder decided to make the game in german, they asked me if they could put something like this in the box. Given that I think it's basically true, I told them that I had no problems with it if Hans im Glueck doesn't mind. HiG didn't mind, so they did it.
As for true "character games", that's a list I have to make one of these days on my web site. At the moment, I think mostly, in light card games, -of Verräter and Meuterer. In heavier games, there is something of it in Puerto Rico and in Age of Steam - also in Cosmic Encounter if the Changeling is in the game.
