GMT Games wollen Platz schaffen für ihre kommenden Spiele und haben daher in ConsimWorld ein Warehouse Clearing angekündigt.

Roads to Leningrad is a package consisting of two separate operational level games on WW II --the Battle of Soltsy and the
Battle of Staraya Russa. .Both games take place on the road to Leningrad during July and August 1941 and both simulate the
large-scale Soviet counterattacks that the Germans encountered. Each is shown in two scenarios. As part of a series, this game
is designed to complement GMT’s East Front Series by presenting a focus on those battles that either were critical or typified
action at that time. We hope to present an Operational Series game (or set) around the time each new EFS game appears. The
next games in both series are already beyond the planning stage.

Game Features This game continues the tradition begun with the popular GMT Operational Series of games, and draws much
from the recent GMT Kasserine game. Roads to Leningrad includes an exciting formation activation system to reflect period
warfare conditions in Russia. Players quickly discover a game of bluff, counter-blow, ambush, and command failure evocative
of the quick-paced battles of those times.

Downtown depicts the great air battles that spun out across the skies above Hanoi during the Vietnam War. The game covers
the gamut of operations in the deadly ‘Route Package 6’ operational zone, from the gradualist ‘Rolling Thunder’ campaign of
1965-1968, to the hammer-blows of President Nixon’s 1972 ‘Linebacker’ operations, culminating with the Christmas B-52
bombing campaign that brought America’s Vietnam War to a conclusion.

Downtown is the first of a new genre of air combat games that model entire air raids in detail. The US player is the raid
commander, marshalling packages of 30-70+ Air Force or Navy aircraft, comprising bombers, fighters, defense suppression,
jamming and recon ‘planes. The North Vietnamese (DRV) player manages a network of AAA and SAM anti-aircraft defenses
supported by a ‘thin red line’ of MiG fighters.

Es gibt 3 neue Spiele von GMT, die längst überfällig sind:
- Corsirs & Hellcats
- Blue vs. Gray
- Medieval
Deshalb findet in ConsimWorld seit einer Weile eine größere Diskussion darüber statt, was die Gründe sind und was noch akzeptabel ist, ob spätere Spiele vorgezogen werden dürfen etc etc. GMT hat da sicherlich Fehler gemacht, und einer der Hauptgründe war wohl das Ausscheiden von Gene Billingsley, dem GMT-Gründungsmitglied und Haupt-Macher, im letzten Herbst (das [b]G[/b] in [b]G[/b]MT steht für Gene). Nun scheinen sie wieder ziemlich alles im Griff zu haben. Medieval soll wohl Anfang Juni fertig sein, siehe auch:

Der Bitte schliesse ich mich gern an. Ausverkauf und Preislisten gehören ins Schnäppchenforum, da sollte es auch keine Sonderrechte für die Army geben ;-)

Sonst könnte jeder seine Preislisten ins Hauptforum stellen, weil eines der Spiele vielleicht mal diskutiert werden könnte.

Wenn du ein Diskussionsbedarf zu einem der Spiele hast, dann schreibe darüber. Wenn erst im Schnäppchenforum eine Diskussion entsteht, kann man die im Hauptforum weiterführen.

Ganz nebenbei bemerkt, finde ich es unerträglich, dass jemand, der anderen Vorschriften machen will, welche Themen im OT-Forum gepostet werden dürfen, sich selbst über doch recht klare Forumsstrukturen hinwegsetzt.

Für die einen Werbung machen, den anderen aber 'seltsames Geschäftsgebahren' vorwerfen, nur weil sie Varianten eines Spieles vorstellen, das noch nicht überall erhältlich ist, finde ich jedenfalls ausgesprochen seltsam.

Hallo Ernst,
hmmm, das hätte wohl wirklich eher ins Schnäppchenforum gehört, wenn ich mir so die lange Preisliste ansehe. Aber da's hier nun schon mal drin steht, bleibt's hier auch drin. Ich habe gerade anderes zu tun als Postings des Themas wegen umzuziehen. Hoffen wir, das jetzt wirklich über die Spiele diskutiert wird und nicht darüber, ob das Posting hier fehl am Platz ist. ;-)

das Guilford haben die GMTler ja wohl um 50% gesenkt. Klingt interessant, wie hat Dir denn das Spiel gefallen (Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, hattest Du 1 oder 2 Partien in Bizau gespielt?). Hat G. das gleiche Spielsystem wie die beiden Vorgänger Brandywine und 1777?

Von "For the People" hat mir ja auch schon mal jemand vorgeschwärmt :-)
Und für "Zero" könnte ich mich bei dem Preis auch noch erwärmen, wenn da nur nicht der Versand wäre... mal sehen.

Hallo Christoph,

ich hoffe, Du hast die 2 Wochen Bizau auch gut überstanden. Ich könnte schon wieder ... :-)

Die Serie Battles of the American Revolution besteht bisher aus
- Saratoga
- Brandywine
- Guilford
1777 gehört nicht dazu (vielleicht meintest Du 1777 Year of the Hangman von Clash of Arms?).
Die ganze Serie hat relativ einfache Regeln, und Guilford (mit zwei unterschiedlichen Plänen für Guilford Courthouse und Eutaw Springs) ist davon am einfachsten. Bei beiden Schlachten hat jede Seite kaum mehr als 20 Counter, und eine Partie dauert vielleicht 1-2 Stunden. Wir haben beide bis jetzt 4-5 mal gespielt, und es hat Spaß gemacht. Guilford ist zum einfachen Einstieg in die Cosim-Spielerei durchaus geeignet.
Brandywine (mit mehreren Szenarien unterschiedlicher Dauer, aber länger) finde ich aus dieser Serie am besten.
Saratoga gibts zur Zeit nicht mehr.

Der mit dem "Vorschwärmen" von For the People war auch ich. :-)
Ich habe es bisher 5 mal begeistert gespielt, nur wollte dann mein Spielpartner nicht mehr (wegen zu diffiziler Regeln, was ich nicht ganz so sehe). Es hat 32 Seiten Regeln (incl. Musterspielzug) und ist schon recht anspruchsvoll.

Falls Du Zero bestellst, nimm am besten gleich ein zweites Karten-Päckchen dazu.

Der Versand ist meines Wissens nicht so teuer, ich glaube 10 Dollar pro Spiel. Der Versand für Europa erfolgt angeblich wieder über UGG (Udo Grebe Gamedesign), sodaß keine Zollgefahr besteht.

Außer den Card Driven Games, die sowieso alle super sind, finde ich noch Reds! ausgesprochen empfehlenswert. Designer ist Ted Raicer, der u.a. auch Paths of Glory und Barbarossa to Berlin gemacht hat. Was aber nicht heißen soll, daß die anderen Spiele nicht zu empfehlen wären ...
