Ist ein Spiel einfacher oder höchstens so komplex wie Splendor, ist es ein Space Buddies Spiel. In einem Interview mit der Asmodee-Pressestelle erklärt François Doucet von den Space Cowboys, warum es die neue Marke gibt.
François Doucet, hat geschrieben:[...] Our rule is simple: if a game is more complex and takes longer to explain than Splendor, then it is a Space Cowboys game. If not, the game belongs to Space Buddies. We created Space Buddies to release party games and simpler family games.
As we work on many different games, we need to adapt our designs and communication to the intended audience. Players, especially core players, have expectations from Space Cowboys as a brand for gamers, and our flagship titles (Splendor and T.I.M.E Stories) are symbols of what we want to achieve.
Every day, new gamers enter shops and read these articles, happily discovering the board gaming hobby. They need to find easy to explain and games that are shorter in duration, and we want to do this with Space Buddies.
To sum up: Space Cowboys is about making games for “core” players. Space Buddies is about us making games for everybody. [...]
